Shiny Pikachu

The absolute lack of a change is it's downfall. Frankly as the mascot of the series, it should have had a more bold change. A splash of blue would have looked nice here.

Alright, let's talk about shiny Pikachu and the theroies about how shiny palettes used to be chosen. First theroy is that most shiny pokemon were randomly generated. If that's the case, 'meh' shiny pokemon like this are expected. Second theroy, some shiny pokemon are hand-selected. The Magikarp line is cited as evidence for this, along with Voltorb less frequently. But is that's true... WHY WOULD YOU LET THE SERIES MASCOT HAVE THIS SHINY?! 2/5 It's not the worst I guess.

not much of a change

the orange is nice but for the icon of Pokemon it has a pretty lackluster shiny.

I like the darker shade of yellow, but that doesn't mean it's a good shiny

I dont like it for two reasons. 1) its way too similar to the original and 2) its cheeks are almost the same hue as the body so if you put it in black and white, the cheeks almost disappear

you'd think the mascot of the series would get a better shiny. it's a nice shade of gold, which would normally get an extra star from me but the way it looks too similar to the original just docks that bonus i would give it.

pikachu got a tan
