Shiny Flareon

Poor little floof deserves better than a faded version of their original colors

Just worse than the original.

I am so NOT impressed with it. I got a shiny Eevee when new to the game & evolved it randomly (big mistake) to be confronted with this. What a disappointment. Really not enough differences in my opinion.

Honestly, Flareon both competitively and shiny wise got screwed over. I live this lil fluffy mon, but my word have the fates not worked out for it

2.5 - The transition to 3D did Flareon no favors. In RSE's sprite, shiny Flareon looks a bit like Eevee's colors with a powered up saturated yellow mane. In DPP, its a nice copper/bronze color. And in BW, its even closer to Eevee's non shiny colors. Brown runs the risk of being too similar to orange but those three still had their merits. What could be a decent concept ended up taking the worse of both worlds with this washed out orange and off white yellow. This problem isn't unique to Pokemon Go's model, still a let down nontheless.

Tweaks to make it look like one of the older sprites aside, if I were to suggest a complete color overhaul, I think I'd make the mane and tail orange and turn the red part yellow/bronze, so it looks like the Fire Stone! That'd make it look a bit more like Moltres too which would be neat.

It’s not as bad as people are making it out to be, the shiny’s shade of orange is actually quite a pleasant change (at least in 3D, idk about other games)

They could’ve done a lot better for sure, but the shiny’s bronze-ey tone is quite nice. No where near as bad as glaceon’s shiny

honestly when i evolved my shiny eevee i thought the game had glitched and gave me a normal flareon
