Shiny Weepinbell

Hideous, but its Weepinbell, so I suppose that's par for the course

The monocolor worked for bell but this color is just gross.

My parents are toxic so I look a this shiny to calm myself down

Noticeably shiny, but he looks like he's gonna be sick. Also, inconsistent with the Bellsprout shiny.

It looks like a pear.

Solid 4 - Sickly and unpleasant to look at. Weirdly I actually like that about it. I could see why people wouldn't like it but I still think its clearly a shiny, you probably wouldn't mistake this for the original. Makes me a bit nostalgic for jokes like 'why is it a weird color' 'oh its sick, just KO it and it'll fix the game'.

That said, same suggestions about Bellsprout apply here as well. Look up a pitcher plant. Pick one that's got funky colors. Voila, alternate exciting Weepinbell colors. I think blue would be my personal take since it is kind of a sad and pathetic pokemon. (I am saying this affectionately)

Weepinbell may be a combination of weeping and bell.

Utsudon may be derived from 靫葛 utsubokazura (pitcher plant). It may also involve 鬱 utsu (depression, melancholy).

Recognizability: Fail

The shiny is noticeable here, but there are versions where it looks barely different from the original, just has a green tint.

Color balance: Pass

The contrast between greens is not great, but the contrast is still good enough that you can clearly see all of the features of the plant.

Aesthetic quality: Fail

It's a Weepinbell with a green piss filter. It sucks.

Enjoyment over original: Fail

The dreaded contrast killing green tint. Not awful here since it’s a plant.

There are so much terrible green shinies in Kanto, and this one is just especially terrible.
