Venomoth is nocturnal - it is a Pokémon that only becomes active at night. Its favorite prey are small insects that gather around streetlights, attracted by the light in the darkness. This Pokémon is usually seen open fields, farms, forests, parks, play fields, beaches, ditches, streams, railways and airports and the countryside in general. Also near ponds, marshes, lakes, cities, parks and industrial areas.

Venomoth belongs to the Venonat family.
