Shiny Pikachu

You'd think the mascot would have a decent shiny sprite, but instead it just got a tan.

Ok I guess.

I think the thing I like most about shiny Pikachu is that it looks like an off color/bootleg toy. There is some charm to that, and it does change enough to be noticeable as a shiny, however for the mascot of the franchise it just feels like a missed opportunity.

For a minor tweak, I might go back to the GSC sprite, which gave the cheeks and stripes more of a purple tint.

For a full color overhaul I'd go the shiny Mimikyu route and give it more 'retro' colors. Either literally the pale white yellow and orange cheeks of the original RYB colors, or monochrome to look like an old game boy game. Switching colors with Raichu or Clefairy could also be cute.

Ok shiny, not that good for such an iconic Pokemon though

Honestly, blue or green would have been better. I give two stars only because at least you can see it from a mile away

i was so, so disappointed when i caught this one; i didn't even realise i had the shiny version until i tried to delete it. id just thought my blue-light filter was too high.

even a simple colour inversion would be better. for being considered THE pokémon, they really did the 'chu dirty.

Simple. Gives shiny Pikachu a nice warmth. Love it.

this isnt a shiny all they did was give pikachu sunburn till he turned orange
