It's good and stands out from the original! One of the many blue to magenta shines. I think one of the few things keeping me from liking it more it that its used a lot in this gen, but I think it does suit Mudkip, and its one of the better executed ones. It just makes sense for an axolotl to be pink! And the shade works well with the orange, very tropical. And the slight orange tint in the tail and tummy looks nice.

I'm curious how it would look monochrome pink or perhaps brown like Paldean Wooper. I also think it could be cute if the cheek fins were yellow or red like stars.

Love it. Many starter shinies are underwhelming, but not Mudkip. A sweet little axolotl worth resetting for.
