Shiny Butterfree

A wasted opportunity

They’re allergic to changing wings and it offends me.

colors ✦ pop beautifully delicate ✶ elegance flows ❁ wings flutter naturally charm shines ✦

I love the green eyes and I like how the body turns a slightly darker purple.

3.5 nice change to the eyes, mouth, hands and feet but not real change to body from what I see

I like this boy

It's not too big of a change but enough to notice it. I just wish the eyes were more muted as they stand out too much

eh, metapod better

i personally do not like this one.if the feet were purple, the body pink and the eyes blue then i think it would be better. the green eyes are horendous, i have no idea what they were thinking with that because it doesnt work here at all

Za mała zmiana

Replace the purple with pink and let the feet and mouth stay blue. Then it's peak.

I'm a particular fan of the loudly bright green color its eyes take on in its shiny form, but overall I feel they could have done better. Way back when I first discovered shiny Pokémon existed, I assumed (as I imagine many people who had seen it would) that the shiny Butterfree would have the same bright pink body of the one that Ash's own Butterfree eventually runs off with, otherwise... Where the hell did the bright pink one even come from, if it's *not* shiny?

Overall, I feel Butterfree is the inferior shiny out of the whole evolutionary line, which is especially disappointing because I don't even really like the bright yellow Caterpie, and the nifty red Metapod is only a brief visitor unless (for some unfathomable reason) you actually want to keep it a Metapod.

obligatory bye bye butterfree complaint
green eyes are a nice touch but not sure how i feel about the switching of blue to pink

The anime lied to us
