Barely noticeable as a shiny, AND it makes the cheeks stand out significantly less.

Recognizability: Fail

Looks very close to the original.

Color balance: Fail

The contrast is much, much worse with many of pika's features becoming obscured.

Aesthetic quality: Pass

The gold color doesn't look bad. It's a nice idea.

Improvement over original: Fail

It's just a darker yellow pikachu with harder to notice features. Not great.

Still just Pikachu just with a hat. Probably gonna be the same as every other Pikachu shiny variant.

Since I already rated Pikachu's shiny, I'll just rate how good it looks with the props.

Orange on the hat looks good with the orange fur. I love witch hats so I'm happy it doesn't look terrible on the shiny. I'm going to be a bit more generous with my ratings because I think the ones I even like a little should be a 3 instead of a 2
