Shiny Nidoking

someone tell me why the nido lines have this cute little palette swap, this one included, and then nidoqueen still ended up looking like that. it was right there guys.

Magenta to Cyan is a very noticeable shift.

Color balance: Pass

Not many colors to start with but what is there still pops out pretty well. Actually the contrast with the mouth is just a little nicer so it's already a slight improvement over the original.

Aesthetic quality: Pass

The ears are brown which is a little eh but I'm not crazy about the original color on the non-shiny anyways. Aesthetically it's taking on the tones of the female Nidoran line, which makes for a really fun aesthetic. The blue works nicely and almost makes it look more dinosaur-like.

Improvement over original: Pass

I think this one is maybe a bit more debatable but I really like the blue. The idea behind the aesthetic is fun and the contrast even works slightly better.

now he's blue color for boy. also, its a really nice blue. so much better than what happened to his wife.

I like that he takes the Nidoqueen colors They look good on him.

Love the blue body and green ears, the white could have had a pink to it though to reference nidoqueens shiny though.

that BLUE is COOL!! Get it? Because blue is a cool color... and.. its cool as in like.. awesome?

Now I can stop thinking Nidoking is a female because society has corrupted my brain to think pink means girl
