The shiny version of Gyarados in Pokémon GO was released on 24-03-2017.
Gyarados was originally discovered in the Kanto region. The main color of shiny Gyarados is red. The typing of this Pokémon is flying and water. The Pokédex number of Gyarados is #130. In the dex they call Gyarados the Atrocious Pokémon

When Magikarp evolves into Gyarados, its brain cells undergo a structural transformation. It is said that this transformation is to blame for this Pokémon's wildly violent nature. This Pokémon is usually seen flying around farms, open fields and parks. Also near bodies of water, including streams, rivers, lakes, beaches, oceans, or harbors.

Gyarados belongs to the Magikarp family.
