Peak. Not only, is the shiny vastly different than the original, it also has bright colors which I love. As well as being the first guaranteed shiny introduced in the series and being so GOATed it was brought back in the anime. I love you Red Gyarados. If there are 0 R Gyarados fans, it means I died

EASILY noticeable from the original. It was even made a point of in a game.

Color contrast is good. Eyes lose a bit with the red around it but otherwise it's still good.

It's a pretty and alarming color. Suits a dragon.
