It went from orange to yellow

It's alright, not great but not terrible.

Just a little lighter, could be much better.

It's unremarkable in every sense of the word. Would have given it 2.5 if I could but will round it up because I'm a filthy gen wunner.

3.5 Pretty cute in game, these screen shots make it look duller than it is. Gold is a suitable shiny that stands out! I'd rate it higher if some other part of the design also changed, like the eyes or tummy. (If it also had gold or amber eyes that'd be pretty cool)

Personally I don't mind that its not black like Charizard, I like that they all have their own color (even if Charmeleon is a bit of miss). Though if I were to tweak it to be black, I'd want the tummy to be orange, red, or yellow, like a fire newt. It'd stand out more and look less weird with the cream color.
