Shiny Bulbasaur

Well, that is certainly a different shade of green....Not bad, not great. Mediocre, but inoffensive.

I like green but its different from making a good shiny, this one is hard to recognize and its not that remarkable.

I feel like it should be orange and the bulb should be white but I love green

Solid 4 - Cute! Feels very 'cabbage' like.

Bulbasaur has an interesting sprite evolution. In the oldest games, its normal color is green (BRIGHT green in GSC), but in the anime, and then firmly in RSE, Bulbasaur becomes blue. And with the transition to 3D it becomes a sliiiightly greenish blue. (Which honestly would make more sense, Squirtle should be the blue one lol) Its always been funny to me that in pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Bulbasaur's default sprite pretty much uses the shiny colors. For some pokemon I think I'd rank a shiny like this lower, but I like this one.

Tangent aside, if I were to redesign a shiny Bulbasaur, I think I'd make its spots or its body purple, to make it seem more poisonous.

Alternatively, Bulbasaur would make for a cute pink shiny. I've seen lovely fanart of Bulbasaur with a rose, sakura, or strawberry theme.

Pretty subtle, could be better.
